Major Lincoln Tunnel Delays, Bus Tickets Cross-Honored
NJ transit buses faced up to hour-long delays Thursday morning, agency said.
New Jersey Transit buses to and from the Port Authority faced delays of up to an hour after a disabled tractor-trailer caused major traffic delays at the Lincoln Tunnel Thursday morning.
Bus tickets and passes were being cross-honored on PATH and NJT trains, the agency reported. Some buses may also have been diverted to area train stations for rail service to New York City.
The delays were caused when a trailer detached from a truck in the tunnel’s westbound north tube.
