Incoming Fort Lee Cops Named 'Top Gun', Commanding Officer of Academy Class

Several incoming Fort Lee police officers received praise during their time spent training at the Bergen County police academy.

A Fort Lee Police Officer who recently graduated from the Bergen County Law & Public Safety Institute scored a perfect qualification score, according to Fort Lee police.

Among the eight new officers joining the Fort Lee force is Patrolman Andres Kim, who was awarded the "Top Gun" commendation for being the officer with the best qualification score, a perfect 100 percent. Patrolman Stephen Domenic was also named the Commanding Officer of the class, which was subjected to 22 weeks of grueling training in Mahwah.

"The department received numerous compliments from the academy staff regarding the high level of commitment and integrity of the officers," said Police Chief Keith Bendul. "The new officers will continue to uphold the department’s commitment to professional police service in our community."
