Early Winter Storm Causes Power Outages in Borough

PSE&G: "Full restoration may not occur until Wednesday"

As many as 5,000 Fort Lee residents were without power Saturday night, according to PSE&G—the result of an unusually early snowstorm that created dangerous conditions for many New Jersey residents.

Borough officials say the outages were due to downed trees, and that PSE&G was "aware of the situation," but offered no estimate on how long it would take the utility to make the necessary repairs and restore power.

Borough officials also urged residents to stay indoors if possible Saturday night.
