Commuting News: I-80 Exit 62 Ramp to Close Monday

The I-80 eastbound exit 62B ramp to Saddle River Road will be closed Monday night for paving.

The ramp will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists who want to access Saddle River Road can take exit 63 to Riverview Avenue northbound to Essex Street westbound to Rochelle Avenue north to Railroad Avenue to Saddle River Road.

Rail Alerts

• The east end elevator for tracks 7 and 8 at New York Penn Station is out of service. Service will return on or about Thursday. Commuters can use the west end concourse elevator in the meantime.
• All trains will arrive on the inbound track at the Mahwah NJ Transit station Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bus Alerts

All Port Authority Bus Terminal departures between 1:01 a.m. and 5:59 a.m. will be relocated to the basement gates in the North Wing of the terminal.

The following Bergen County gate assignments have changed during those times:

• Route 163 (Ridgewood-New York)—new gate 79
• Routes 156 (Englewood Cliffs-Fort Lee-New York), 158 (Fort Lee-Edgewater-New York) and 159 (Fort Lee-New York)—new gate 76
• Route 165 (Westwood-New York)—new gate 80
• Route 167 (Harrington Park-Teaneck-New York)—new gate 75

Traffic Alerts

• The New Jersey-bound north tube of the Lincoln Tunnel will be closed Monday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for maintenance. Commuters can access the Lincoln Tunnel via the center tube using entrances at 36th Street and 9th Avenue or 30th, 31st or 33rd streets between 9th and 10th avenues. All lanes of the outbound tunnel helix will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 p.m. each night to 4:30 a.m. the following morning for catch basin cleaning. Commuters can follow detours to New Jersey roadways. One tube of the tunnel will be closed Tuesday to Thursday from 11 p.m. each night to 5 a.m. the following morning for maintenance. Two additional lanes in each direction will be closed at 12:30 a.m., leaving one lane in each direction available.
• One lane in each direction of the Holland Tunnel will be closed Monday to Thursday from 11 p.m. each night to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
