I was approached by Erik Wander of Patch to author a blog about issues affecting Fort Lee.  I agreed to do it and believe it will be an effective way to highlight important issues and to spotlight positive community developments and acknowledge people of Fort Lee who make a difference.  

I am a regular attendee of Board of Education meetings and have an active interest in the challenges and successes of the Fort Lee community. In recent years, I have witnessed on many occasions, divisive splits among varying groups of the community concerning local projects including the two failed referendum elections, the barely passed 2011 school budget and real estate development proposals.  

It is my intention that this blog will facilitate respectful and honest discussion of how to bring opposing groups of people in Fort Lee to find consensus and/or common ground to tackle some of the problems facing Fort Lee including the apathy of voter turnout in local elections and the many problems facing our public school system. I look forward to a productive dialogue.
