Real Estate Group to Break Ground on $70M Luxury Residential Building on Central Road

"Twenty50" will feature 194 one- and two-bedroom units and is scheduled for completion by September 2013

Fort Lee borough officials will join developer BNE Real Estate Group Wednesday at a groundbreaking ceremony on a new $70 million luxury residential building near the George Washington Bridge.

“Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich and other local dignitaries will drive the ceremonial first shovels into the ground,” said a spokesman for the Livingston, NJ-based real estate group.

The 12-story building, which is called “Twenty50” and is located at 2050 Central Rd., will include 194 one- and two-bedroom rental units and “offer residents spectacular views of the Hudson River and George Washington Bridge,” according to the company.

The residences will be 750 to 1,200 square feet with amenities including a concierge, lobby with a water wall, resident lounges, a café, Wi-Fi library/den, game rooms, a fitness center and an outdoor pool.

Construction of Twenty50 is scheduled to be complete by September 2013, according to the company.

The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
