Poll: Planning to Shop Local This Holiday Season?

Tell us in this poll.

The day after Thanksgiving—“Black Friday”—unofficially marks the beginning of the holiday shopping season.

Area stores, shopping centers and malls often open well before dawn that day. People form lines outside of stores and shopping malls in places like Paramus and New York City in the middle of the night.

While these stores are often the most popular to shop at, have the most amount of merchandise to pick from, and offer sales unseen at other times during the year, small businesses may also offer a lot for shoppers on that day and throughout the holiday shopping season.
