JFK's Granddaughter Hired as Record Reporter

Schlossberg is the middle child of Caroline Kennedy and designer Edwin Arthur Schlossberg

Tatiana Schlossberg, the granddaughter of President John F. Kennedy, has joined the reporting staff of The Record.

Schlossberg's byline as a "Staff Writer" first appeared on Sept. 7, reporting on a 71-year-old Haworth man who died after being struck by lightning while at a high school soccer game in Demarest.

She has since reported on issues and events in Harrington Park, Hillsdale, Montvale and River Vale.

Schlossberg, 22, is the daughter of Caroline Kennedy and noted designer Edwin Arthur Schlossberg. She is a recent graduate of Yale University, where she wrote for The Yale Herald. Her byline has also appeared in The Martha's Vineyard Gazette.

North Jersey Media Group Vice President Jennifer Borg did not respond to requests for comment. Martin Gottlieb, Editor of The Record, also did not respond to messages seeking comment Thursday and Friday.

Schlossberg first began writing for the The Record in mid-June as a "Special to The Record," a byline designation the daily paper often uses for journalists "trying out" for a reporting job.

Schlossberg is the middle child of Caroline Kennedy's three children and grew up in New York City out of the public spotlight.

Her brother Jack, 19, attends Yale and also writes for The Yale Herald. Sister Rose Schlossberg, 24, graduated from Harvard and is an artist and videographer in New York.

While at Yale, Tatiana Schlossberg received the Charles A. Ryskamp Travel Grant award. Her research project, according to the university, "explored the communities that grew out of the relationship between runaway slaves and coastal New England Native American tribes, particularly on Martha's Vineyard in the nineteenth century."
