High School Cast of ‘Mack & Mabel’ Meet ‘Godspell’ Cast on Broadway

The trip to see the Broadway musical was the Fort Lee Film Commission's way of thanking the high school cast and crew and included a Q&A session with the actors.

The Fort Lee Film Commission sponsored a trip Tuesday evening to the Circle in the Square Theatre on Broadway, where a lucky group of drama students got to take in the musical “Godspell.”

“This was our thank you to our cast and crew at Fort Lee High School of our ,” said executive director Tom Meyers of the Fort Lee Film Commission. “Fort Lee High School graduate Alexis Marnel, executive director of the NYC-based Artists' Collective was able to not only secure the tickets to ‘Godspell’ for us, but also secure a Q&A onstage with cast members and our student actors after the show.”

The Q&A included the star of “Godspell,” Corbin Bleu, in addition to co-stars Telly Leung and Morgan James, Meyers said, adding, “The students’ questions to the actors and their discussion with the actors was fantastic.”

Part of the proceeds from the three performances of “Mack & Mabel” will pay for a Shakespeare workshop at the high school in October and also paid for the bus transportation to Broadway Tuesday night, according to Meyers.

These photos were taken by Donna Brennan of the Film Commission outside the theatre.
