Students of Florence Katz, Richard A. Nest Senior Center Exhibit at the Fort Lee Library

This is the third consecutive year the students of watermedia classes at the Richard A.Nest Senior Center are exhibiting at the Gallery, located on the lower level of the Fort Lee Public Library. Under the guidance of instructor, Florence Katz, a Fort Lee resident, twenty enthusiastic seniors meet for three hours on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. These works shown are representative of many individual styles and techniques developed this past year. With classical music playing in the background, the newly refurbished studio is like a community of diverse cultures out of which many meaningful friendships have developed. The classes aren't only an opportunity to express oneself creatively but are an escape, a therapeutic means to relaxation and the release of stress. The Gallery may be visited during library hours:  Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Sunday 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

A reception open to the public will be held on Wednesday, June 27, at 6:00 p.m. Come meet Florence and many of her students!
