Animal Blessing and Show

On October 30, 2011 The Church of the Good Shepherd will bless any animal, or picture of animal, or stuffed toy animal that you bring.  Why?  Pets are a blessing to their caretakers (even when they can be annoying!).  Every so often it's nice to say thank you to God for the gifts and the love shared between pets and people.  St. Francis, whose feast day is October 4, was an example of how to bring peace among all of God's creatures ... let's celebrate animals!  Please come to worship at 8 or 10am, outdoors weather permitting, or to a special animal show by Outragehisss Pets of Chestnut Ridge, NY at 11:30.  Because it's so close to Halloween, we encourage anyone who wishes to dress like an animal.  Visit our website, www.goodshepherdfortlee.org, or call 201-461-7260 for more information.
