Viewfinder: 'Run the Palisades' Annual 5K Promotes Diabetes Awareness

Viewfinder is a weekly photo gallery that takes a look at the community through the camera lens. This week, we have images by photographer John Ford from the third annual "Run the Palisades" 5K Run/Walk from Cliffside Park to Fort Lee and back.

Fort Lee teamed up with Cliffside Park and the Diabetes Foundation Sunday for the third annual “Run the Palisades” 5K Run/Walk and Health Fair to promote health, wellness, fitness, lifestyle improvements and especially diabetes awareness.

Runners (and walkers) lined up in front of Cliffside Park High School on Riverview Ave. at 10 a.m. Sunday and ran or walked through parts of both towns—ending up with a lap back at the Cliffside Park High School track.

Sunday’s event also included a health fair and a “healthy kids fun run,” complete with a face painter, a balloonist and medals for completing the run around the Cliffside Park High School track.
