Fort Lee's Annual Health Fair to Provide Screenings, Vaccines, Blood Work

In-person pre-registration is required for flu and pneumonia vaccines and blood work

The Fort Lee Health Department will hold its 17th annual health fair on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the , providing a wide variety of screenings, blood work and flu and pneumonia vaccines, borough officials said.

This year’s health fair will include the following, according to the health department:

  • Flu vaccine and pneumoccoccal vaccine “with no out of pocket expense” for people 65 and older and who have Medicare Part B
  • $10 flu vaccinations and $15 fee pneumoccoccal vaccinations for all others
  • Comprehensive blood test for seniors and veterans for a $10 fee. All others will be charged $30 for the blood test, according to the Health Department.

Note: Pre-registration is required, and must be done in person at the health department for flu and pneumonia vaccines and blood work. The health department is located at 309 Main Street behind Borough Hall. Their hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Additional screenings offered at this year’s health fair include blood pressure, body fat analysis, chiropractic, eye screenings, oral cancer and podiatry, health department officials said.

Refreshments will be served on the day of the event at the community center.

The Fort Lee Health Department’s annual health fair is Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fort Lee Community Center, located at 1355 Inwood Terrace.
