Fort Lee Students Raise Big Bucks for Cancer Research

Team of students participated in the "Relay for Life" event in Hasbrouck Heights this weekend.

Sixteen Fort Lee teens raised more than $2,000 for cancer research in Hasbrouck Heights this past weekend.

The team – captained by FLHS junior Jacqueline Greenfield – participated in the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life" event at Hasbrouck Heights on Saturday.

The Fort Lee team received the "Rising Star Team Award" from the American Cancer Society. They raised $2,400.

The team members included Jacqueline Greenfield, Joseph Padin, Ricky Pasternack, Daniela Molinaro, Jessica Molinaro, Erica Amarini, Liana Rhee, Taylor Gorruso, Christina Ramirez, Margo Grisanti, Daphne Flores, Aashna Jain, Christine Lee, Kelly Mayid, Angelo Bavaro and Jeffrey An.
