Fort Lee Resident Vies To Be Among Top Family, Mom Bloggers

An award-winning journalist and blogger from Fort Lee is competing this month against 98 other bloggers to be named one of Circle of Moms' Top 25 Family Blogs by a Mom.

“I was so honored to have my blog, ‘Musings on Motherhood and Mid-Life,’ nominated along with all these talented participants,” said Fort Lee’s Estelle Sobel Erasmus. “It’s really been a highlight of my month.”

Erasmus, who was named a 2012 BlogHer Voice of the Year and who performed her original work in the show, “Listen to Your Mother,” is currently in fifth place with more than 300 votes as of Tuesday, but she says she can use all the help she can get.

The contest is being hosted by the website Circle of Moms, which has 6 million members. The top 25 winners will be featured on the site and will receive a badge for their blog that links to the Top 25 contest page. The top 25 will also have the opportunity to participate in Circle of Mom’s expert Question and Answer session and the Round Up editorial platform.

“I went from dating diva to married lady to older mom in the blink of an eye,” Erasmus said. “My blog is about my transformative journey through motherhood … and marriage.”

Erasmus has written for hundreds of publications and websites and has upcoming pieces on Mamapedia and Kveller.com.
