Flash Flood Warning for Bergen County

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Bergen County Monday as heavy rainfall is expected. 

According to the weather service torrential rain of up to two inches could cause flash flooding in parts of Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Union and parts of Rockland and Orange counties in New York state. 

Rain showers are expected to continue Monday afternoon and evening. 
Here is the forecast for the Fort Lee area. 

  • Monday - Showers and thunderstorms likely. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, with a high near 83. South wind 6 to 13 mph.  Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Monday night - Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before midnight.  Cloudy, with a low around 71. South wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Tuesday - Showers and thunderstorms likely. Cloudy, with a high near 84. South wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Tuesday Night - A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a low around 71. South wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
