Dogs With Special Needs Find Special Friend in Fort Lee Woman

Fort Lee's Maggie Conway is devoting her time, and her heart, to help dogs with special needs.

Fort Lee's Maggie Conway has opened her heart, her home and her wallet to helping dogs with special needs. And now she's opening up her door inviting everyone to help her ensure that these special dogs continue to be provided for.

Conway is calling upon friends, family and her hometown of Fort Lee to help her raise money so that rescue groups who aide these special canines can continue to help these dogs that need special care and attention, as well as a permanent home.

Maggie Conway, daughter of and retired Fort Lee Detective, is hosting a fundraiser to aide Special Needs K-9 and the Mid-Atlantic Bull Dog Rescue, two charities that rescue, provide care and find loving homes for animals in need. Special Needs K-9 specializes in rescuing the abused, neglected and unwanted special needs dogs. The fundraiser, called "Dogs Rule," is being held on Feb. 21 at Andiamo's in Haworth.
