Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in Glen Rock today.

Today in Glen Rock, the Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in American, NJ Chapter, had a lemonade stand. We turned the "lemons" that Washington served us in the spring in not voting for background checks on gun purchases- and we turned them into lemonade!
Considering it was a summer day in August, we had almost 100 people sign postcards to Congressman Scott Garrett urging him to have gun sense.
State Senator Robert Gordon stopped by, as well as Assemblyman Tim Eustace.
Afterwards, the postcards were delivered to Scott Garrett's office in Glen Rock.
Much like Mothers Against Drunk Driving was created to change laws regarding drunk driving, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America (www.momsdemandaction.org) was created to build support for common-sense gun legislation. The nonpartisan grassroots movement of American mothers is demanding new and stronger solutions to lax gun laws and loopholes that jeopardize the safety of our children and families. In just seven months, the organization has more than 100,000 members with chapters in 40 states across the country.
