More About Fort Lee Public Library
The Fort Lee Public Library is located in the Henry Hoebel Building, just across Main Street from Borough Hall. Easily accessible by public transportation with a bus stop conveniently located directly in front of the building, the library also has a large parking lot around back. Inside the two-story structure, patrons will find an exceptionally quiet and comfortable space for reading, research, studying or taking advantage of the library's free WiFi or desktop computers. Comfortable reading chairs, no shortage of cubicles and work tables - some complete with table lamps - and a friendly, helpful staff make a visit to the library a pleasant experience for anyone. On the second level are additional stacks of books, plenty of windows emitting ample daylight and an excellent view of Fort Lee in four directions. Other features include a young adult corner, an adult reading room, adult literacy aids, a conference room and a large community bulletin board. The basement level serves as a media room with periodicals and newspapers, videos, DVDs and a media reference desk as well as a small exhibition space where local artists and photographers can showcase their work. The library also hosts film screenings, author talks and other public events. Book drops are located near the front and rear entrances.
