PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Special Private Work Session of the Fort Lee Board of  Education will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 7:00 PM in the High School Staff Development Room, 1St Floor, 3000 Lemoine Avenue, Fort Lee, NJ 07024.

Purpose of this Special Private Work Session:

  • Appointment of Superintendent
  • Appointment of Assistant Superintendent 
  • Personnel

No action will be taken at the Special Private Work Session.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Special Public Business Meeting of the Fort Lee Board of  Education will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 8:00 PM in the High School Auditorium, 3000 Lemoine Avenue, Fort Lee, NJ 07024.

Purpose of this Special Public Business Meeting 

  • Appointment of Superintendent
  • Appointment of Assistant Superintendent 
  • Personnel 
  • Finance 
  • Any other matters that may arise


Official Action will be taken at the Special Public Business Meeting.

With its sprawling front lawn on Lemoine Avenue and impressive façade and clock tower, Fort Lee High School is one of the most recognizable landmarks in town. The high school serves more than 1,000 students with a strong focus on individual ability. The diverse student body comes from a range of backgrounds and heritages, and the district estimates that more than 50 languages may be spoken among students school. The high school curriculum is bolstered by advanced placement and honors sections and supported by co-curricular programs in the arts, business, science, technology, physical education and athletics. Among the school's newer programs are Virtual High School, TV Production, the Writers' Corner, Math Center, Science Research, Dance and NJ Teen PEP. The school also offers theme-based academy programs such as The Academy of Finance and the Academy of Performing Arts.
