HELP Needed for Seniors
Although the power is on in many houses and buildings at this point Fort Lee is not out of the woods yet. We still have many senior residents that do not have power or heat. It has also come to my attention that many are afraid to leave their homes.
This is a call out to the humanity of Fort Lee residents for their own. I am running a campaign right now to get blankets and hot food to some of these residents or get these residents to warm buildings and hot food. There are many people who want to donate and I am calling out to you. Here's what I am asking:
We need to know who needs help. If no one reports it then no one knows where to go. Please email me addresses of seniors who need help at paul.umrichin@gmail.com

Donations of blankets cause it's cold and the more the better.
Hot hearty soups
Other hot foods
Warm gloves hats and scarves
Let's finish this crisis off helping our neighbors still and not returning to our complacency with the return of our power. There is still work to be done so please help out. Thanks for all your efforts, Paul. I know you've been in contact with James Pulliate (FLHS Girl's Volleyball coach and Finance teacher) about this. Coach Pulliate has been spending all day driving to all the Fort Lee schools to collect the donations of clothes, blankets, canned food and other disaster relief supplies. He had to make two runs because his full-size van couldn't contain the generosity of Fort Lee's students (and their parents).
Fortunately, it seems that most people in Fort Lee have recovered from the hurricane/Nor'easter but there are so many who are still in dire need. I am in contact with a Councilman in Jersey City -they've been hit hard and it seems that they could benefit from the charitable nature of Fort Lee's schoolkids. If you know of a need in Fort Lee, however, let me know right away.
