School Board Meets, New Business Profiled This Week

Check out what's cooking in Fort Lee this week.

Here's a brief look at some news to watch for this week in Fort Lee:

On Monday night, Fort Lee school trustees will be voting on major bids to improve school facilities. The low bid to remake the high School auditorium and gymnasium comes in at a cool $518,000. The roof at School 3 will come in at $225,000 should board members approve the bid. Will the board say yes? Probably. We'll have all the answers!

Fort Lee Public Schools Business Administrator will see a $9,704 merit increase for the 2012-2013 school year after working as the manager of the referendum construction project, as well as filling in as a grant writer, affirmative action officer, and QSAC coordinator.

The schools look poised to approve a series of contracts to remove asbestos from the high school science labs and schools #1 and #3. We'll let you know what's going on following the meeting.
