Police Promotions and Hirings at Thursday's Mayor and Council Meeting
Police Department sees nine promotions; Mayor and Council to vote on a resolution to hire eight officers.
Thursday evening's meeting of the Mayor and Council will nine police promotions the hiring of eight officers. The promotions include three Captains, three Lieutenants and three Sergeants.
Lieutenants Robert Zevits, Stanley Zon and Thomas Ottina will be promoted to the rank of Captain.
Sergeants Andrea Capolla, Leonard Cottrell and Kenneth Porrino will be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.
Officers Michael Pappachristou, Sean Peppard and James Lee will promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
The Mayor and Council will also vote on a resolution to authorize hiring eight new police officers.
The meeting begins at 7pm in the Council Chambers of Borough Hall.

8 new hires. Hopefully going forward we can work on reducing existing salaries, benefits, and early retirement payouts to alleviate what it will cost the taxpayers. I don't know about anyone else, but enough is enough!
