How Fort Lee Weathered the Storm
With no reported power outages, or emergencies, Fort Lee fared well.
Chief of Police Keith Bendul, said that with no storm-related power outages or emergencies, Fort Lee weathered the storm well.
Despite the National Weather Service's pre-storm forecast of heavy winds, and PSEG advisories that storm-related outages may occur, Bendul said, "There were no heavy winds that brought down trees or caused limbs to fall taking power lines down."
Bedul commended all emergency services workers and the DPW who worked during the storm to keep Fort Lee and its residents safe. He reported that the DPW worked throughout the night removing snow from Fort Lee's streets and salting the roadways.
Bendul advises residents that all parking bans in place during the storm have been lifted and normal parking has resumed on all borough streets.
