It was a truly moving ceremony and I feel fortunate to have been able to attend. I hope that our own ceremony in Fort Lee will be scheduled with plenty of notice so that many people in our boro will be able to attend.

As was stated by a number of speakers, this all began with a request by the Korean community to Freeholder John Mitchell who then discussed it with County Executive Kathe Donovan who was in full support followed by bi-partisan support of the Freeholder board. Hopefully, knowledge of this great injustice will add fervor in the fight against human trafficking today. Thanks to the leaders in the Korean community for bringing this issue into the public square and our county leaders for their actions. Special thanks and deep respect must go to the surviving Comfort Women that County Executive Donovan spoke to in Korea, who with strength and grace as told by Donovan, gave their blessing for their stories to be told.

How shameful it is! The statement graved on the comfort women monument is absolutely lie!

Here is another story on Korean comfort women. The Dutch war film was set based on a real story during the Korean war (6/25/1950-7/27/1953). UN force sent from sixteen countries including 3418 Dutch soldiers, to fight against the communist alliance of North Korea and China.

Comfort women existed and it is true that they led miserable lives. Many of them did so against their will though many volunteered to do so. Many of them were sold by their parents to support their lives during the extremely poor time period. Many volunteered to do the business to support their family. Still, many were deceived for the business by Korean brokers in case of Korean comfort women. However, there is no doubt that they led miserable lives whether it was their choice or not. Also, about half of comfort women were Japanese who never asked for
compensation...it is shame to ask for money for their prostitution.

By the way, if Americans want to keep the monument, it should say something like this, "...for memories of comfort women who had led miserable lives serving for soldiers of numerous countries such as the USA, Korea, Japan, Netherlands,....(list all countries that had comfort women around their bases and sometimes as real sex slaves like in Vietnam War by Korean soldiers and used the "system")"

Because the monument is in the USA, the name of the USA should come first and it should remember victims of comfort women who served for US soldiers, especially during Vietnam War, Korean War, and occupation in Japan.

Then, I think it is reasonable to have it in the USA and I will respect the monument.

The victims named 'Comfort Women' are fabricated by Seiji Yoshida(communist) & Korea propaganda.
　
In 1983, a former Japanese soldier(Seiji Yoshida , communist)
suddenly claimed that Japanese soldiers had hunted for Korean women in Cheju to force them into sex service for Japanese soldiers.
However, elderly people who were familiar with the situation during that time denied this claim in the Cheju newspaper in 1989.
One 85-year old woman at that time said that if 15 women had actually been forcibly taken away from a village with only 250 families,
it would have been big news, but, she said, that did not happen.
And even the Japanese soldier in question admitted he lied in 1995.

My initial investigation on this matter discovered the following:

1) The overwhelming number of comfort women was comprised of Japanese nationals.
2) Not a single evidence of coercing women into the comfort women system has ever surfaced or given from Korean Government till today.
3) Newspaper recruiting ads for recruiting comfort women remain today. These ads were displayed in 1944 on the major newspaper “Keijo Shinbun” in Seoul by local employment agencies.
4) It was discovered in 1992 that a comfort women “Mun Okuchu” had deposited 26,245 yen at her Postal Savings Bank account by 1945. The average salary of the government officials in Korea at that time was 40-50 yen per month and houses were sold at about 1,000 yen per unit. So, she earned the money worth 26 houses out of her work during the war.

I am a Japanese living in Yokohama, Japan. We Japanese hate Koreans because they often conjure up fake stories and with those falsified stories they try to defame Japan. I don’t know exactly what motives drive them to such disparagement. Maybe denying the previous master is part of their culture. Since the U.S is their master today, they are asking the U. S. to punish Japan.

Japan annexed Korea for 40 years but it was before I was born (I’m 57 years old). All through my life they have been stuck to the past and still are today. I really wonder what kind of people they are. All through my life I could hear only one chorus from the Korean Peninsula: Apologize! Pay Compensation! Apologize! Pay Compensation! Apologize! Pay Compensation! like a lengthy mantra.

Japan and South Korea signed the Peace Treaty in 1965 and Japan gave a large economic support, which is more than double the size of their yearly budget and it includes all compensation to individuals.

In my opinion, they are basically saying, “You have to kowtow to me and endure my stomping on your head, otherwise there can be no friendship!” No such friendship can exist anywhere in the universe.

The erection of such memorial is none of our business, but in a few years it will become a symbol of Korean deception and lies. I didn’t know that you Americans are so gullible and defame us so easily.
