Local Runners Compete in Rutgers Half Marathon
John Milone, 38, of Fort Lee was the top local runner in the Unite Half Marathon at Rutgers University's New Brunswick campus on Apr. 17. The added challenge of flooded roads made it necessary to change the race distance from 13.1 miles to 9.55 miles. Milone finished 15th with a time of 56:56.71, earning first place in the 35-39 age group. The winner of the race was Darryl Brown, 28, of Exton, PA, with a time of 49:59.69.
Fort Lee's Wanda Wang, 47, came in first place in the 45-49 age group and 167th overall, with a time of 1:08:35.98.
